Performance, Duration: 1 hour
The Performance begins with taping sounds. The performer continuously tapes herself for the duration of one hour. Cicada invites the audience to emotionally connect with the performer as she walks into the light and begins to cut the taped shell by herself she struggles to let loose. The performer illustrates a spirited struggle that culminates into freedom.

Performance took place on November 15th 2017, Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona.
